Welcome Baby Colton!!!

After 2 1/2 years, I finally got my baby shower pictures into an album. Man!, when people told me I was going to busy with my second child, they weren't kidding. I never get a chance to scrap anymore. I do it all on my scrapbook weekends away twice a year.

 

I started making this album awhile back and it sat on my desk, unbound with the pages waiting to be filled and for me to figure out what pics would go in it. First it was going to be about my Mom then it was going to be of a girls trip to the beach but I didn't have enough pics for that. Finally after going through my photos and realizing I had way too many pics of my shower for just one scrapbook page, I decided they were the perfect pics for my mini album.

 

I used the mini file from the Heidi Swapp Chipboard Memory Files and covered it with one of the Mini Memory Files. I used her Sugar Chic line of paper for the pages as well so some other paper I had in my stash that went very well. I so love Heidi Swapp's products and used many of her embellishments as well.

 

Here I used the American Crafts DIY Thickers and sprayed them with the Mustard Colorshines. So pretty!!

Here's a close up of the fold out heart. Such a fun touch.

 

 

 

 

After I was done with all the pages, I used my Cinch and bound it all together. I love that machine!! Plan to do more fun stuff with it in the future.

Echo Park Happy GO Lucky

 

Echo park really knows how to make scrapbooking fun!! When I was handed the Happy GO Lucky line from Craft Warehouse and told to make 5 pages I was extatic!! This is one of the Photo Freedom sets from Big Picture Classes. It came with 5 page protectors, 4 divided and one a full 12 x 12. I had a blast with all of it. It's all about spring. Perfect for this time of year.

 

 

I really love the easy of all the different size cards in this line. Great line to grab for those times when you need to get a lot of pictures scrapped.

OH, SNAP LO #2

Here we go again! Just love the page with all the cut outs! I used the picture frames and put my photos behind them. LOVE!! Lots of stuff to choose from. great boarder strips and cut outs.

 

 

This line is definitely worth grabbing!! So fun!

Echo Park OH,SNAP

Love me some Echo Park!!! I was asked to do a couple layouts for store displays at Craft Warehouse with the OH, SNAP line. What a fun line to play with. I just love the colors. I chose a pic of my besties for the layout. We hardly ever see each other anymore since we all live in different areas but when we do get together it's like old times.

 

I could layer all day long I think :) The sticker accents are great in this line! I love the cameras!!

 

I'll be up again tomorrow with another LO from this line.

Instagram Layout

 

Here's another store display for Craft Warehouse I did. I did 8 scrapbook layouts. Some were 12 x 12 and some were in different size page protectors. I used a number of my instagram photo's for this one. I like how it turned out and it kinda makes me wanna try Project Life or Simple Stories or something like that.

 

I used the My Minds Eye Collectables line by Jen Allyson again.

 

 

Lots of embellishiments and journaling. Fun!!

A day at the park

Here's a layout I made for a store display for Craft Warehouse. I got a chance to use the My Minds Eye Collectible line by Jen Allyson. This line is so beautiful. I never scrap with these colors cuz I have boys so I gravitate to the dark blue's, green's, gray's and brown's and so on. I picked this picture of me and my boys mostly because it matched the paper so well but also because I've been wanting to scrap it for EVER!!!

 

I splattered some Mister Huey's Ocean and Pretty Pink in a diagonal across the page. Love those mists! I cut out the hexagon's and placed them where I wanted them, using foam adhesive on a few to give dimension. The tittle is American Crafts Thickers and the Tiny Words form the My Minds Eye line. Washi and enamel dots are also My minds Eye

 

 

 

What a fun journey this has been and I can't wait to share more!

Dream Job!!

I recently got the opportunity to do some store samples at my local craft store Craft Warehouse. This is my DREAM job by far!!! I have used Craft Warehouse for all my crafting needs ever since I moved here in 2003. I would walk around and look at the samples and think, I so want that job!!! Well what do ya know but a friend of mine started doing store samples for them which gave me the courage to ask the manager about it. Long story short, I got to do some fun stuff this past week with Doodlebug Designs INC, My Minds Eye, and Kaiser Crafts.  Can I get a heck yeah?!?!?!

 

In this post I'll show these fun journals I decorated with the

Doodlebug Design INC Take Note collection.

 

The one on the left I covered with the Bubblegum - Sugar Coated cardstock. Then I embellished with the This & That Cardstock Stickers that came in the 12 x 12 paper pack. I used the Tally washi tape and Doodle twine. All of this was from Doodlebg Designs INC.

 

 

 

This one was so fun to play with. I made a washi tape banner using the Doodlebug Designs INC Tally washi tape, Glitz Anchors and Rainbow Chevron washi tape, and Queen & Co. trendy tape. To make the scallop banner, I layed 3 strips of washi tape on some wax paper overlapping it a bit. Then I cut out a circle in the tape, removed the wax paper and folded it in half over the twine. With the pennant banners I just folded a strip of washi tape over the twine then cut an inverted "V" in it.This one was so fun!!!

 

With this one I used the Mini Pockets in the Take Note line as an embellishment. This one turned out so bright and fun! The thickers at the top are American Crafts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And who doesn't want a washi tape pen?!?! Love this one.

All of these were so fun to make. I can't wait to share the other things I made so come back soon and check it all out!!!
